Cody Lenhard

What is your artist name? My name is Cody Lenhard

What kind of music do you make?  I make mostly pop music with hip/hop influences. I am heavily inspired by artists such as mac miller, frank ocean, and Jeremy Zucker.

My process when writing a new song is sitting at my desk and just getting lost in the music for the first few sessions, once the song has structure i’ll sit and refine it and mix and master it. When people listen to my music i want them to feel like they aren’t alone with whatever they’re going through.

How old are you and when did you start creating music? I am 18, i started writing music when i was 15-16 but only started producing music mid 2018.

My goal is create something people can listen too and not feel alone, i want too make something that means something to someone. I want people too know that i put my everything into my music

Colt Liles

What is your artist name?  My artist name & what you can find me under is Colt Liles, although some call me Kipper.

What kind of music do you make?  I think my style falls under Alternative Hip Hop more than anything.  Tell the reader MORE about the kind of music you make, influences, your process and what you want the listener to take from your lyrics/production etc.

The music I make is always coming from something I am personally going through. Music is my meditation away from the real world. In my upcoming project “A Posture of Heart,” it was me going through those things and something I realized might be able to help others which is my reason for sharing something so personal with others. I think the best music comes from when artists are vulnerable.

My influences come from all around but three influences that I am really inspired by most would be Mod Sun, Mac Miller, and Machine Gun Kelly. Outside of those artists I listen to a lot of Bon Iver, Trevor Hall, and Lostin Vegas.

How old are you and when did you start creating music?  I am currently 26 years old and started experimenting with music a few years ago. My single “Lift You Up,” released this year is my first release I’ve put out on all platforms. I started experimenting with poetry in 2010 which led me to where I am today.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career?  My goal is to become a full time creative and be able to move people with my art. I would like to be able to take someone out of their shoes for a minute but also help them walk through the journey if they are one in the same.

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music?  A lot of times we can be more relatable than not and art can be one of the most impactful movers we as humans create behind our emotions. As an artist I want to evoke feelings and promote a positive mindset towards life’s happenings—to give light to any situation one might be going through.

What kind of music do you make?  Hip-Hop/Rap, I’m striving to make really good rap music, I guess like any other artist, I’m focusing on structuring my songs better and using better content for the context  of my songs. Lately I’ve been trying to write and comment on personal things going on in my life, like my last song grease, it’s about my relationship with my brother, but more over the arching theme is looking at how artist want to make a share music with there friends and loved ones but don’t always get love, you gen n erally get more love for your art from strangers than people in your personal life.

My rap influences Tyler the creator, Night Lovell, Sir Micheal Rocks, and Jay Rock

What kind of music do you make? Rap/hip hop, I’ve never really been asked about what inspires or influences me. On the real the beats are what got me interested in rap/hip hop. That usually were I get my story (song). It’s as if the beat speaks to me and I can hear the lyrics gradually come together. Whether I make the beat or someone else does I always come up with something. Now there are a few beats the go way to hard to were I just feel I’m not going as hard. So I’m marinating on those but eventually I will bless them. What I would like is for the listener just appreciate the lyrics and really think about what I’m saying. Other than that I hope you enjoy it.

How old are you and when did you start creating music?.    I got into music when I was 18 and I’m currently 36.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career?   My goal is to create music others can relate to. Hopefully get some knowledge or encouragement. Or just something they can vibe to when having a rough, bad, or good day.

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music? I do music because I love to do it. I have more of a passion for it. I really don’t care if I get famous to keep it real I really don’t wanna sale my music but the struggles real and it’s either sale music or do something I shouldn’t do.

Thornberry

What is your artist name? I go by the name Thornberry! I ran with that rap name because my real name is Nigel and when I met someone around my age or a little older, they would ask what my name was and when I tell them, they remember Nigel Thornberry from the 90’s show The Wild Thornberrys.

What kind of music do you make?  I make lyrical rap music and inspirational music that people can relate to. I usually rap about my life experiences, my struggles, what I’ve gone through to get where I am in life right now, and where I’m going to be in the future. When I first started making music I was more on the melodic side. The more I experimented, and tried to find my voice and my true self within my music, I learned to be versatile. I would say J Cole has the most influence on me right now only because I can relate with so many things he raps about. When I lock in and write, I need a beat that catches my attention and makes me really feel that groove. Once I feel it, it’s gravy from there. I get the feeling of the beat and where I wanna go with the song then start writing. I used to always start with the hook but I felt if I always started with the hook I’d be limiting myself of what I really wanted to rap about, so every now and then I will start with the hook but usually I start writing my verses first after I get my thoughts together Then sum up the whole song with the hook. Anyone listening to my music I would hope they can really feel I put my all and my heart into it. I want my listeners to relate some how at least with one topic I cover in a song. I want my music to help people and uplift them when they are going through hard times and to let them know they can do anything they want if they put their mind to it and work for it!

How old are you and when did you start creating music? I am 19 and I was 17 when I first started rapping. Another influence of mine was one of my friends that was rapping before I was so that’s why I got into it at 17.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career? My goal is to just help people with my music. Whatever they struggle with I hope my music can touch their hearts. I would like to show the rap game something different that no one has seen before because I know there is only one me and I wanna show the world who I am. I wanna learn more, continue growing on my journey, and actually be successful in what I’m trying to do.

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music? I want the readers to know I’m just like them. A normal young kid just like they are or once were. If I can make my dreams come true so can you with hard work and dedication. I would also like my readers to know that it’s okay to be yourself and that authenticity is the best influence. That’s why I want to keep my music authentic because I want my listeners to actually relate to me on a personal level.

What is your artist name? Kuntry_Kp

What kind of music do you make?   I make Hip hop Music/soul music – I make trap music with some soul in it I myself like to call it Vibe muzik. I like to give pieces of my life when I write music, I speak alot on my pain, losses, all around journey to success, and  how the road wasn’t easy becoming a real man, a father, a provider  and just all around being the best me. I grew up in the trap music era and consider MasterP a goat so a lot of my influences came from artists like Tip Boosie and lil Wayne. With that being said: I actually want people to listen to my music and dig deep to find they true purpose. Just because you are in an environment that doesn’t make you a product of it. Be the voice, leader or role model to spark your circle or generation to come. Even when I write at times I tend to mention God a lot, my kids, my deceased mother, my inner pain and how I elevated my thinking through life experiences. I don’t just wanna be rapper I also wanna be an example of if you put good in the universe no matter the outcome you shall received it in the same manner.

How old are you and when did you start creating music? I’m 31 and I actually starting rapping when I was 28 it just kind of happened and God lead the way up until now. I used to always go to the studio with the team but never wanted to be a rapper/entertainer It wasn’t till 2018 I actually took it serious and that had a lot to do with me elevating my thinking and working to build a legacy for my kids.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career? My goals with the music career is to build an empire that exceeds beyond music. End of the day music is part of me and will forever be my passion. I just feel at certain point in life I got to teach one just part of my growth and empowerment for those who can relate.

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music? I want the reader to know I am a man who puts God first then family. I want them to understand being uncomfortable in my life at some point helped me grow into a firm believer in myself no matter what others might say.

KaOus aka Whisper

What kind of music do you make? Hip Hop / Spoken Word / Experimental / Trap. I make hip hop styled music, where the music follows more so “hip hop” tradition of creation, also spoken word styled music,  where there is a poem (instead of the traditional verse and chorus) that is performed on urban genre instrumentation. My music’s lyrics are influenced by how I view my life, and the instrumentals are influenced by everything I hear; from music to the sounds you’d hear walking down a street or in a beach.

How old are you and when did you start creating music? I’m 29. I started creating in 2006, and professionally in 2011.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career? My goals for my career is to be heard by more people, be able to profit from my music, and be able to create a platform so the ones behind me can have an easier path, just to name a few.

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music? I want the reader to know that my music comes from within me, and some songs are an acquired taste. Im usually called a “loner”, a “recluse”, and that element shows in almost every song.

HeLives

What kind of music do you make? Electronic Dance Music
My music’s cultural flavor is Christian, positive and up lifting. I seek to encourage in my listeners feelings of faith, hope and love. I use various synths and pre-recorded samples to create my sounds. I don’t try and stick to one particular genre but my music tends to fall generally within the electronic dance category. I draw influences from Hiphop, House, Trance, Pop and Gospel mainly.

How old are you and when did you start creating music? I’m just about to turn 35 years old on the 23rd of January (the day my new single drops). I started making music when I was 18 but after some discouragement stopped for over a decade. One night as I lay on my bed it just hit me and I knew it was time to start creating music again and I started sharpening my tools again.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career? I hope to someday to be able to provide for my family full time through my music. I wish to remain humble and continue learning from the best. I want to impact my listeners for the better and make a positive difference in their lives.

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music? I’m living proof that no matter how dark it gets there is always hope. Never give up! Everyone is struggling on some level and and I hope my music adds a bit of light to your daily life.
