Tsunamii Dee

What is your artist name? My artist name is Tsunamii Dee

What kind of music do you make?  I’m a rapper/Songwriter, so most of my music is rap based. However, I’ve written all types of music. Pop, R&B, Country, Rock ETC. Every now and then I love to make a banger, with tons of metaphors, and double entendres, and word play. Most of my music I make tho, is from real life experiences and issues I’ve dealt with in life. My top 3 influences in music are Eminem, Nicki Minaj and Brandy. I want the listeners to get the same satisfaction from my music, as I did growing up listening to it. Music played a huge part in my life! There wasn’t anything that Music couldn’t get me though. Music is a cure for everything, and i want to be that for this generation and the future generations to come

How old are you and when did you start creating music? It started in grade school as short stories, then essays. As i got older I found myself quite fond of poetry and I did that for about 4 years. Then, when I was introduced to Nicki Minaj’s “warning” for the first time, I realized i could put my poetry to a beat and make music.. My passion for music started in 2007, and it’s been alive and thriving ever since

What are your goals when it comes to your music career? My first goal, is to grow my fan base, organically. I don’t want to pay to be popular. I want my fans to love me for me! My second goal is to recognized by a major artist, for example Nicki Minaj. I would totally freak out it i recognized by the queen!! My ultimate goal tho, is to open my own record label and change the world of music from the toxic place it’s in now, back to the beautiful place where it began. Music helped me with my anxiety and depression, amongst other things. I think I could be that person to help world with their issues, through music.

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music? I write all of my own music, and I’m currently in the process of learning how to make beats. I’m a gay, 29 yr old rapper, based in NYC! Born and raised in the Bronx! I’m a manager at Starbucks. Coffee is what i do, when I’m not making magic! I mean music…

PAINKILLXR

What is your artist name? PAINKILLXR

What kind of music do you make?  Hip Hop, Rnb, Alternative – Growing up in the Bronx, I listened to many different genres from Rock (From Green Day to twenty one pilots, to Slipknot), to Rnb (The weeknd, drake), but Hip hop was always in my heart. From rappers such as Eminem and TI all the way up to upcoming NY Rappers like Lil Tjay and Pop Smoke. It’s always been an essential genre of music for me. Growing up in the Bronx wasn’t easy though. I was always getting into problems and following the death of my two grandmothers, I gave up hope on everything. No care in the world. I was down bad after that. My love for poetry and writing took over as I found a new way to cope with my problems. It soon came to music as I wanted to share with the world and others that you’re not alone and you can get through all your struggles. I want people to listen to my music, relate to it, and feel happy to it no matter what the vibe is. From hip hop, to RNB, all the way to alternative.

How old are you and when did you start creating music? I’m 17 and I started two years ago.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career? I want to release my upcoming song “In Tha Cut” get successful and gain some type of recognition in the Bronx, then NY, then go viral. And have longevity in this career. With a strong fanbase. I’m trying to “Shoot for the stars” with it. (RIP POP SMOKE)

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music? That there’s something for everyone and it tells a story, even though some things might not seem like it, everything tells a story. It could be the whole song or one sentence but everything tells a story. Stay tuned for “In Tha Cut” in 2020

Young Dell

What is your artist name? – Young Dell

What kind of music do you make?  – In my opinion I make real genuine authentic music, that people can relate to. I speak in real life situations. I speak on real shit in my music, situations that I’ve either experienced or people around me experience. Just telling my story about a young nigga trynna come up from Harlem. Some of my biggest influencers in the music industry are Jay Z, Meek Mill, Ross, I just like how they tell they stories and how they came up from nothing and turned to bosses and moguls. I too have those same aspirations and I just feel like given the right platform I can someday be up there with them. The message I try to get to my fans and listeners is that no matter where you come from no matter your circumstances there’s always a way to over come that, and come out on top.

How old are you and when did you start creating music? – I’m 23, and I started taking music serious when I was about 19.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career? – As far as goals I just wanna expand my fan base and take the independent route as far as I can. Basically wanting to be my own boss type shit, have my own label and just try to become that house hold name and put on for my people.

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music? – Whenever you hear my music I want you to feel whatever emotions I’m spilling out, weather it’s pain, anger, happiness or sadness I just want my listeners to feel me and understand me.

Sonic X

What is your artist name? Sonic X

What kind of music do you make?  Rock Music – Sonic X is a Hard Rock band. We incorporate heavy riffs with melodic, catchy passages.  We like to experiment to keep things fresh and interesting.  Our influences range from classic hard rock bands such as Led Zeppelin, AC/DC to more modern hard rock bands such as Alter Bridge and Foo Fighters. We also have some alternative influences such as Muse, which is apparent on some of our songs on our new EP.  We are pretty efficient in our song writing these days after playing and writing together for many years. All 3 members of the band have a hand in the writing process with Joey Greco and Lawrence Falcomer being the main contributors.  We try to write about relevant topics, for example on “Leave Me Alone” a track off our new EP “Fly Around The World” we wrote about how we are constantly under surveillance these days. Camera’s everywhere capturing your every move.  The world of Big Brother has arrived and how we just want to be left alone.  Joey Greco, in addition to singing and playing drums is also our producer and engineer.  He has transformed the sound of Sonic X since officially joining the band in 2015 with the release of the “Fall From Grace” EP.

How old are you and when did you start creating music? The band formed in 2004 and we’ve released 2 CD’s and 2 EP’s.  The members of Sonic X are, Lawrence Falcomer on Guitar, Joey Greco on Drums and Vocals and Joseph Cumbo on Bass.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career?  We constantly write and record music so the plan is to release as much great music as possible.  We would like to spread the word about Sonic X Band as far and wide as we can so we are always looking for new and innovative ways to share our material.  We may play some live dates to support our new material but that is still in the planning stages with no dates to share at the moment.

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music? If you’re looking for some relevant, thought provoking music, please have a listen to our tunes.  We write lyrics with some meaning and relevance that we hope touch people so they can relate to their own life experiences.  Our music is heavy, yet accessible and we believe you will find the music and lyrics interesting and thoughtful.

What kind of music do you make?  I make beats for trap, R&B, boom bap. Even tried to do some pop and reggae. Out of the music I make I really like R&B. It just has a special groove and vibe. One of my biggest influences would be Metro Boomin. His 808s always sounded perfect for the song and he has worked with some of the biggest artist of my time. I want everybody that listens to my music to see that I don’t try to follow or copycat anybody. I bring my unique talent and i hope that everyone enjoys it because it is different.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career? My main goal is to stay true to myself. I don’t want to follow any trends but I want to be a trendsetter. K-Killa

What is your artist name?K-Killa

What kind of music do you make?  Hip Hop/Rap – I don’t like to box myself in when it comes to being creative, so no genre is out of the question. I am willing to try anything. I used to do a lot of metal and singer songwriter stuff. I shifted my focus to Hip Hop/Rap though because I enjoy it and to be honest I’m not the best singer. No matter what style I am writing lyrics for it almost always starts out in a rap format. I enjoy the word play. I like the challenge of it. I like the poetry of it. My influences are all over the place, from The Fugees to Pantera to Justin Bieber, I try to pull from everything I can. I’m a 90s baby so I love the old school stuff. Most often my creative starts off like this. I’ll make a beat or find a beat that just speaks to my soul in some way and then it’s almost like the words write themselves. I started out as a producer so, that plays a major part in the way I write. It’s almost like I hear the finished product in my head and have to put it together like a puzzle. I mainly make music as an escape for myself. I try to make stuff that I vibe with. Sometimes it’s honest songs that reflect on what’s really going on in my head. Sometimes it’s love songs I write for my girl to tell her what she means to me. Sometimes I just wanna get wild on the track and spit bars or just paint a certain picture. It really depends on the vibe of the track. I really enjoy the challenge of switching up and doing different things lyrically with the subject matter.

How old are you and when did you start creating music? I’m currently 29. I’ve been making music for literally over half my life. I was always heavy into music, got my first guitar at 8 or 10 maybe. Made my first beat at 12 or 13 and I made my first rap song when I was 15 years old. That’s when I first started going by K-Killa. A guy I was producing for, Carlito Bluntsworth, called me K-Killa in a verse he wrote and it’s stuck ever since.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career? Career wise, I guess I want what everyone wants. I want to tour the world, collaborate with my heroes, and make a solid living doing it. I’d love to hear myself on the radio. I wanna make more music videos. Overall though, I just wanna have fun and make good music with dope people.

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music? I’m always trying to one up myself. I try to make every song better than the last. I try to drop at least one song a month, so there’s always something fresh to vibe to. The next one is called “Lazy Sunday Love” and it hits streaming platforms on 3/28. I have a new video out now on youtube for my song “A-O-K”. I have a clothing line called Black’d Out Clothing Co. that I’m just getting off the ground.
