Jeh $inatra

What is your artist name? My artist name is Jeh $inatra

What kind of music do you make?  I make Hip-Hop music but more on the conscious/lyrical side. I make lyrical/conscious hip-hop music with a very east coast sound. I’ve been compared to artists such as Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, and many others offering the same array of conscious hip-hop. My process for making music is typically finding a central theme or concept for my songs/projects and developing the sound around that. It takes roughly 2-3 months to develop a full length album or ep. Studio sessions are usually closed (private) while recording and my only essentials are water, beats, and my lyrics. I want the listener to take away hope, inspiration, motivation, and a sense of understanding who I am as an artist and what I stand for.

How old are you and when did you start creating music? I’m 33 years old. I will be 34 this year. I started creating music with my brother back in 2008. He is solely responsible for getting me involved in creating music.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career? My goals with my music are to uplift and inspire listeners around the world with an authentic sound and approach I bring to the industry. I look to change the world and truly help others and music is the catalyst to do so.

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music? I want the listener to know who I am, my values and morals, I stand for integrity to the highest degree and to know my music is a representation of who I am as a man, a father, a husband, and genuine person. No gimmicks, no cliches, just pure hip-hop in it’s most purest form as I’m an artist that respects the legacy of this culture 100 percent. I and my independent label Broken Hearts Music Group, LLC hope to restore the feeling of true hip-hop.

Pretti Emage

What is your artist name? We’re two biological sisters that go by the name of Pretti Emage

What kind of music do you make?  We make Hip Hop, Rap and R&B hits. Our music is a blend of Hip-Hop and R&B with a down south flow. Our songs are heavily influenced by Jay Z, Beyonce, Migos, Destiny’s Child T.I., and Cardi B. When creating our music we like to get into a zone by first listening to the beat and soaking it in to see exactly what the beat is saying to us. Once we have a concept we then create the hook/chorus together and then retreat to our separate rooms to write our separate verses. What we would like for our listeners to take away from our music is the hook, wordplay, rhythm and flow. When we’re writing we like to breathe life into every word so that the listener is able to feel the song! It’s all about the vibe for us.

How old are you and when did you start creating music? We’re 19 and 17 years old and we started creating music at 14 and 16 years old.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career? Our goal is to create music that will last a lifetime. We want to create classics, the type of songs when people hear them it takes them back to another place and time. We also want to be able to do features with some of the hottest artists in the industry today and also continue to keep growing and evolving as artists.

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music? Some don’t know but we’re actually biological sisters we have different mother’s but the same father. Although we’re sisters we have more of a friendship bond that we’ve had our whole lives. We grew up in a musical family so doing music is definitely in our DNA. From 2016 to 2019 we’ve won several accolades for our music and we’re also up for several independent music awards this year plus we just won an akademia award for best hip hop song back in February. So far it’s definitely been an amazing journey for us. The love and support that we receive from our fans around the globe is truly rewarding in itself. For us music is life and if we’re able to create music that everyone can gravitate to then we’ve definitely accomplished our goal.

Frank Myth

What is your artist name? My artist name is Frank Myth but i also go by the name Frank Anthony which is actually my government name lol

What kind of music do you make? I make music from my soul ! All my songs come from my own personal experiences in my life. From my own feelings, to my past and present relationships with friends, family, girlfreinds and yadayadayada… I also just like to write about life from my point of view. I always been a deep thinker and you can hear that in my music. My music is influenced a lot by artist such as 2pac, Biggie, Nas, Jay-Z, and DMX. That’s actually my top 5 favorite rappers of all time. I had to sneak that in there real quick lol but I’m influenced a lot by some of the newer legends too like Drake, J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Dom Kennedy, and Nipsey Hussle just to name a few. My process for recording music all depends on how im feeling at the moment but lately i’ve been waking up early and starting my day with going through beats until i find one that i like. I always say the right beats pick me ! Music has so much emotion to it so when i find the perfect beat its like the words just start flowing out of me. I would want the listener to take from my music all the gems that they could find but most importantly i want my music to inspire people to do what they love.

How old are you and when did you start creating music? I’m 28, and i started recording music around 16/17 years old. I put my first songs out on myspace, and reverbnation. Later on around 2015 i starteduploading music to soundcloud and even put out my first EP in 2016. In 2018 i put out 2 EP’s on on all major streaming platforms like apple music, itunes, tidal, spotify, and etc. Just recently i put out my first album titled “Frank Anthony 2” available everywhere you can find music !

What are your goals when it comes to your music career? I could say the obvious things like financial freedom, success, being able to travel the world, doing shows, and having a huge fan base… and I would be lying to you if i said i didn’t want those things because i do want those things but my goals for my music career would be to inspire people. I want people to see me make it so that they know that it’s possible ! That’s important to me.

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music? I would want the reader to know that I am grateful for anyone that takes the time out to listen to my music. It really means a lot ! So if you plan on listening to my music, thank you !

Cartier MarZ

What is your artist name? My artist is Cartier MarZ and I’m a Cartier Runner!

What kind of music do you make? I make melodic rap music. The type of music that I’m generally influenced by is not one specific type of genre, I listen around and see what I vibe with. At the end of the day, music doesn’t have to be good or bad, it just has to be something you can relax to. But some of my most favorite artists are Lil HE77 and NAV. I just connect with their lyrics and I feel like they know what I’ve gone through as a south Asian artist. When I get a beat, I listen to it, and I just start freestyling, I rarely write lyrics down. But when I do write something down, it has to be a really clever line for me to write down. I freestyle on the mic, hear it back, and then I write down the best lines and compile them into the song. I always try to speak from the heart and deviate from the image of a Soundcloud rapper. I want my listeners just to relax, forget about the worries of life, and vibe with my songs and lyrics.

How old are you and when did you start creating music? I started making music in my freshman year of high school, and ever since I’ve been in love with the music.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career? I just want to go to the top. I don’t see an end to this, I’ve been and going through all of this hate, but I’m just making my way up.

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music? I want the readers to know that I’m not a generic rapper who raps about random stuff, I want people to know who I am. I want them to be with me at the top!

Young Thotty

What is your artist name? I go by Young Thotty, but i also go by my instagram handle: BabyTreesh. in the aspect of what you can call me tho, you could call me anything “Thot” related lol ex: lil Slut, lil Whore, a Prostitute lmfaoo i honestly dont even care tbh as long as you know who I am you call me whatever you want

What kind of music do you make?  Well, I just started making music recently.. so I don’t have too many options when it comes to variety just yet.. but I don’t categorize myself in any way. I love all types and genres of music and so I plan to make all types and genres of music. I honestly wouldn’t even consider myself a rapper, just an artist. I honestly just make “me” music. I don’t have any real influences or inspirations when it comes to music. I just know that I’ve literally loved rapping ever since I was able to speak my first words. I fell in love with rapping before I ever even heard my first rap song. I’m not a Hip-Hop fanatic like I didn’t grow up listening to Biggie or Tupac or any of the other GOATS of the Rap Genre.. I grew up listening to Greenday, of Mice & Men, Maroon 5, and if it wasn’t rock based it was 90s RnB based I loved Alicia Keys, Usher, & Avril Lavigne. So by “me” music, I just rap or make music about things I live & breathe everyday. I make music tailored to my life, which is why I do not let other artists put any verses on any of my tracks. I freestyle all of my tracks so that I know they are direct from the heart, I mean every word. And also, I don’t try whatsoever lol that is a key component to knowing me & my music. I literally walk in the booth, pick a random beat, freestyle less than 20 minutes, an then boom on to the next track. I waste no time or effort on my music because it comes effortlessly. I want to influence anyone who listens to me to just really be themselves, no matter what that may mean.

How old are you and when did you start creating music? I’m 24 as of this year. I started rapping at the end of 2018. I dropped my first track “Right Now” in December of 2018, then dropped “No Mail” about 5-6 months ago, and just in January of this year I started droppin new music every single week an I plan to continue that for the rest of my entire career. So all in all I’ve been playing with rap for about 2-3 years an only started taking it serious as of Mid January of this year.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career? Well honestly I don’t have any.. I just love music and I love making music lol.. don’t get me wrong, fame and money is great obviously, an I won’t turn it down when it comes my way. But to me thats just sprinkles on top. My Ice Cream is really just doing it. Just going in the studio every week having fun being myself. I don’t have any real aspirations for this simply because I would still do it even if I was broke and homeless for the rest of my life. I don’t care where rap takes me, as long as it doesn’t leave my side.

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music? For the readers, I just want them to know that I’m not a rapper. I’m just a guy that likes to rap. It doesn’t matter what you do in life, as long as you put 200% effort into it at all times.. I may rap effortlessly, but booking studio time every week, making sure all my songs get on all the platforms, doing articles like these and doing shows are all aspects of me putting 200% effort into my craft as of this year. These things are a lot harder to get done than they may seem especially every single week because I drop new music every week. So my point is, just be yourself an do what you love with 200% effort. Everyone can be great and I want to see everyone prosper!

$ed – Aka Rebel

What is your artist name? My artist name is $ed, when I produce I go by Rebel! Soon I will just go by Rebel!

What kind of music do you make? Alternative Rock, PluggnB/Rnb, and Trap are my 3 favorite genres when I produce. When I make songs I aim to make music with a message, something that resonates with various people not just one demographic. The language of music is universal. It’s very powerful that music can connect me with someone that differs from me immensely. Me and a person from the other side of the world could like the same song, even though we would speak different languages. The power of music is beautiful. I like producing tracks that display motion and get people moving. When I showcase those tracks to other artists and see them start to bob their head and come up with ways to make the track become alive even more is good feedback for me. As far as songs go, beat section is crucial to me. Being an artist/producer, it has made my music making process more in-depth as I try to create. I can make music at anytime, preferably I enjoy my mornings and mid to late afternoons to get ideas out there. If I’m not in the mood to create, I won’t force myself to create. I try to let everything flow naturally. When it comes to musical influences I have many, from different times, styles, and genres. Artists that influence what I do today would be: Wiz Khalifa, Lil Tracey, Chief Keef, Aaliyah, Jon B, Twinuzis, and Pierre Bourne. Producers that influence what I do today would be: CardoGotWingz, Sledgren, Xangang, PoloBoyShawty, and Stoopidxool. These are just the ones that come to my mind, there are many others. When I bring everything together I want the listener to be satisfied with their experience listening to what I have created. Replay value is something I have been working on as of late.

How old are you and when did you start creating music? I’m in my mid-late 20’s right now. I’ve been doing music since I was 5 years old, singing at church and at school. In 5th grade I picked up Saxophone for a couple years, moved to Trombone and did that for a couple years. After graduating from middle school, I took years off from making music and pretty much became a connoisseur of music. My Brother and I established our SoundCloud in 2015, and never looked back.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career?
Overall, I want to continue having fun and evolve myself as a creative and even more so as a person. I live with a better-than-yesterday mentality. If I can grow myself as a person then I, for sure can grow musically. My near future goals would continue to be consistent and keep building my network with other artists and producers. One day I want to produce a Billboard record. That would be one of my biggest musical goals. Another would be to work with one of the artists or producers that have influenced me. Lastly, I would love to produce a smash hit record for my brother, Mil10. He is very tenacious and I would to see him rewarded for his hard work.

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music? I would want them to know that making music is a very intimate process for me. I always aim to put my best foot forward, giving the listener a piece of my world through sound.
