KD – Recording Artist & Critic

I noticed KD on Twitter after I retweeted one of his tweets. The tweet itself was not uncommon but I noticed that my notifications included responses from KD, which really caught my attention after the fifth response.

The honest reviews made me want to learn more about KD, it’s one thing to compliment every artist who drops links on a tweet, but it’s another to give real opinions that could potentially help the artist develop their sound. It shows that KD is interested in really connecting with the artist who engage with his tweets.

KD is a musician from Indiana. His music is a reflection of the times and he has been creating dope tracks like Love Sick and Spaghetti Monster for the last two and a half years.

He noticed a lot of “Drop Your Links” tweets with little or no interaction from the accounts asking artist to drop links. He came to the conclusion they were only interested in getting engagement and recognized that did little for the artist.

KD decided that he would go out of his way listen to the work that artist presented on twitter and give them his opinion as a way to show his support. Another reason that KD chooses to do this is he wants meet artist from all over the world and grow his network.

Artist like KD are far and few between. I see a lot of artist using the “support” method to gain exposure. Those artist normally lack quality or a updated sound, KD has both. He fits the right age bracket and creates music that is trendy and appealing to the people who will define this decade when it comes to Pop Culture.

That makes his opinion credible on a number of levels. As a artist he can pick apart a track and give a honest review based on sound quality as well as content. As a fan of music, he can determine what is going to be popular among his peers as well as other groups in his age range. Finally, as a genuine person who wants to help artist, he gives advice the artist can apply to their future work to make them better in one way or another.

“The real world will tear someone up with no explanation. If I can give them the realization that I am a part of the real world but I care and want to see them grow then hopefully they’ll keep growing and keep seeking out advice from random people and listeners like me.” – KD

When asked about his future and where he sees himself, besides creating his own art, he wants to create a #Youtube channel where he can review music and give artist feedback. He wants to inspire artist to do better, focus on the real and that means accepting the bad, with the good.

“I see myself becoming great and really inspirational. I know that I have what it takes and it’s only an amount of time until I get my clout. I will also be the most versatile rappers too. That time will come. When it does, everyone who supported and that will support will benefit from it. The grind never stops and neither does the love.” – KD

The Goal is to help artist get heard while building my platform. The most difficult part of this is getting the artist to understand - we need them to support the blog for it to serve their needs. #WeDoThis
