What is your artist name? My name is Joseph Milton, Im from Dallas, Tx

What kind of music do you make? I make Hip Hop & R&B music. The music I make is meant to captivate the listener, I love music and I try to express the emotion or mood of every song, even in the production. Since i produce my own music it makes it easier. I’m influenced by life and the lessons I learn and messages I get on the daily, good or bad. Life is full of bliss, we just have to know when to stop and look, It’s all fuel in some way. My musical influences are OutKast, Bone Thugs, Lauren hill, the list goes on. I grew up listening to all kinds of music. My mom played hella Jill Scott, Alicia keys, Fantasia, Keyshia Cole, India Irie. While my pops was playin NWA, 3 6 Mafia, Stevie Wonder, Funkadelic so it’s a big pool to pull from.

How old are you and when did you start creating music? I am currently 22 years old, when i first started making music, i had just turned 19 and i was in college on winter break and i got my refund check and did not know what to do with the money so i figured id get everything i needed to at least record a song or see how i sounded on a track, the rest has been constant evolution and history.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career? My goals with music is to make the best music I know how to and I try to learn as much as I can and grow with my music. I’m passionate about music that feels good to listen to, that’s all I want to make.

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music? I put my all into my music and no matter what that’s all I’ll ever do. I incorporate a lot of different vibes and moods as presented on my debut project “Shadows of a Kid” available on every streaming platform. On the track “Shadows of a Kid” I talk about my trauma and the effects of it, on other tracks like Snoozin’, I talk about how I view the world and social issues. To “Brown Skinned Queen” where I talk about love and lady’s. Whatever you like you will find, and more!
