Sonic X

What is your artist name? Sonic X

What kind of music do you make?  Rock Music – Sonic X is a Hard Rock band. We incorporate heavy riffs with melodic, catchy passages.  We like to experiment to keep things fresh and interesting.  Our influences range from classic hard rock bands such as Led Zeppelin, AC/DC to more modern hard rock bands such as Alter Bridge and Foo Fighters. We also have some alternative influences such as Muse, which is apparent on some of our songs on our new EP.  We are pretty efficient in our song writing these days after playing and writing together for many years. All 3 members of the band have a hand in the writing process with Joey Greco and Lawrence Falcomer being the main contributors.  We try to write about relevant topics, for example on “Leave Me Alone” a track off our new EP “Fly Around The World” we wrote about how we are constantly under surveillance these days. Camera’s everywhere capturing your every move.  The world of Big Brother has arrived and how we just want to be left alone.  Joey Greco, in addition to singing and playing drums is also our producer and engineer.  He has transformed the sound of Sonic X since officially joining the band in 2015 with the release of the “Fall From Grace” EP.

How old are you and when did you start creating music? The band formed in 2004 and we’ve released 2 CD’s and 2 EP’s.  The members of Sonic X are, Lawrence Falcomer on Guitar, Joey Greco on Drums and Vocals and Joseph Cumbo on Bass.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career?  We constantly write and record music so the plan is to release as much great music as possible.  We would like to spread the word about Sonic X Band as far and wide as we can so we are always looking for new and innovative ways to share our material.  We may play some live dates to support our new material but that is still in the planning stages with no dates to share at the moment.

What do you want the reader to know about you and your music? If you’re looking for some relevant, thought provoking music, please have a listen to our tunes.  We write lyrics with some meaning and relevance that we hope touch people so they can relate to their own life experiences.  Our music is heavy, yet accessible and we believe you will find the music and lyrics interesting and thoughtful.

The Goal is to help artist get heard while building my platform. It’s hard to explain who I am because, I am working on being someone I am not. I come from a very structured life. I was born and raised on the west coast and I come from a very wealthy background, I would be lying if I said I know what it is to struggle financially. Still, something was missing in my life. I struggled in other areas and as I got older, I decided I need more out of this life. So here I am, floating along doing a lot but going no where specific. I currently live in New York City, this year, I got a chance to experience poverty that I never knew existed before. I met people who I would never interact with if I stayed the “course” and experienced joy I cannot explain. I dream about things I never thought I would care about and I learn more about myself every day. With this Blog I hope to help artist who are struggling, find a purpose in their journey or find something of value they can use to push through the hard times. I hope to discover talent that is over looked, and more than anything, I hope to meet people I wouldn’t normally meet, because to me, that is the beauty of music and art. Finally, I hope I find artists who can help spread the message and share the content we produce together because they want to, not because they have a hidden agenda or want to use this as a way to benefit without contributing. – Lizardisms
